Prospective Educator Scholarships
High school seniors who intend to attend college and major in education are invited to fill out an application
(available HERE).
Applications must be submitted to:

Applications and accompanying documents must be submitted by February 1, 2012.
Obtain ONE letter of reference. The letter must be from a person familiar with your academic abilities and school activities. The letter should address your interest in teaching and the qualities that will make you a successful educator. Your full name should appear in the upper right corner of your letter of recommendation.
Request a copy of your high school transcript from your school counselor. Your transcript must include class size, class rank, and grade point average.
Attach your written response to the essay question (goal statement) on 8 ½ X 11 inch white paper. Limit your response to 100 words. The essay (goal statement) must be typed and double spaced. Your full name should appear on each page. The essay question (goal statement) is on page three of the application.
During the month of February 2012,, a committee will convene to select the two best applications that have been submitted to the State of Wisconsin Chapter 1611.
Before March 1, 2012 two selected applications and accompanying documents will be sent to the PDK International office. In late April, the scholarship selection committee will convene in Bloomington to select the recipients of more than 60 PDK International Prospective Educator Scholarships.
